Root canal treatment in Winnipeg

When the inside of a tooth is infected, a root canal cleans it out and seals it. Our general dentists do most root canals here; when a tooth is complex, we refer you to an endodontist.

Root canal treatment: common questions

Is a root canal painful?

We freeze the tooth first. Most people say it feels like a long filling.

Can you pull the tooth instead?

Sometimes that is the better choice, and we will tell you. Keeping your own tooth usually works better for chewing.
