Kids' dental visits in Winnipeg

Canadian dentists recommend a first visit by age one. Early visits are short and mostly about getting comfortable: a ride in the chair, a count of the teeth and a few tips for parents.

  • From the first tooth
  • 20 to 30 minutes

What's included

  • A look at teeth and gums
  • Tips for brushing and snacks, for parents
  • Fluoride when it helps
  • Family booking, so siblings and parents can come together

What to expect

First visits are short. If your child is not ready, we stop and try again next time.

  1. Say hello. Your child meets us and tries the chair, with you right there.
  2. Count the teeth. A quick look, and a cleaning if they are ready for one.
  3. Tips for home. We tell you what to watch for until the next visit.
